Bydgoszcz and Toruń are connected by the Vistula, and from a balloon you see the full stretch of river valley between them: the old granaries of Bydgoszcz, the forests of Myślęcinek, the open farmland, and with a bit of luck, perhaps even the red-brick towers of Toruń’s medieval old town. Toruń’s Gothic architecture, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is best appreciated from above where you can truly see the city skyline in its full glory. The Vistula curves gently through it all, catching the sun light all the way through.
