Lot balonem Łódź - miejska panorama Łodzi o zachodzie słońca

A Sky-High Journey Through the Heart of Poland

Łódź grew on cotton and ambition. It’s a place of many constrasts between the nature and city skyline, wherew here the red-brick factory halls of Księży Młyn and Manufaktura’s old weaving sheds meet the green corridors of Łagiewniki Forest stretching north beyond the city limits. Balloon flights over the Łódź region are a true feast for the eyes. Wide, flat fields stretch as far as the eye can see, dotted with green belts of forest and winding rivers make for a calm, harmonious landscape. Nothing blocks the view here — the flat land opens up the horizon, and the sunlight turns the fields into ribbons of copper and green.

Common Questions

There's a few of us – can we be sure we'll be on the same flight?
Of course! Our flight calendar offers information on the number of open spots in each flight. Just choose one that has enough spaces for all of you and you sign everyone up for the same flight.
How long does the flight last?

We usually spend about an hour in the air. However, this depends entirely on terrain and weather conditions. Sometimes we land after just 50 minutes, as continuing the flight would require staying in the air much longer (for example, when approaching a city or dense forest). At other times, we may fly for 70 or even 80 minutes if the situation requires it (for example, when flying over a city in light wind and waiting to find a safe landing spot). Our balloons are always equipped with enough gas to safely remain airborne for 100–120 minutes.

However, you should set aside about 3–4 hours for the entire adventure. This includes a short passenger briefing, balloon setup, the flight itself, packing up the balloon, and a celebratory glass of sparkling wine shared with fellow passengers and the crew.

How many people are in the basket?

It depends – typically between 10-18 people.

Is flying in a hot air balloon safe?

A hot air balloon is the first — and statistically the safest — type of aircraft we can fly. DreamBalloon is a licensed air carrier approved by European, Scandinavian, and Polish aviation authorities. We operate under strict supervision and regulation. We hold a licence for conducting commercial passenger flights issued by the Danish Civil Aviation Authority and approved by the Polish Civil Aviation Authority. All our pilots are fully certified for commercial hot air balloon flights and undergo regular quality and skills assessments. These inspections are carried out in accordance with the company’s Operations Manual.
The equipment we fly is also subject to strict inspections, conducted at least once a year by two independent companies specialising in technical evaluations of balloons.

Balloon Flights Near Łódź

Big cities have plenty to offer – from countless sightseeing opportunities to beautiful landmarks and panoramic views. They do, however, have one drawback: regular balloon flights in these areas are quite restricted. Of course, occasional flights are possible, but the whole process is rather long and complicated, as it requires appropriate permits and coordination with aviation authorities.
DreamBalloon, however, offers flights for residents of Łódź and Warsaw, as well as nearby towns. The areas between Sochaczew and Płońsk, along with the surroundings of Kampinos National Park and Bolimów Landscape Park, have a lot to offer – unique landscapes and rich natural beauty. The charm of nature seen from a completely different perspective.
The areas around Kampinos National Park have much to offer. It is an endless sea of greenery – the Kampinos Forest – with many different tree species, picturesque ponds, winding rivers, and remarkable cultural monuments. The park also impresses with the diversity of rare landforms, from dunes to marshes and heathlands.
Meanwhile, Bolimów Landscape Park provides a wealth of landscapes – gentle hills and rolling mounds interspersed with fields, meadows, mixed forests, and river valleys. It is also home to many rare plant and animal species, and from a balloon’s basket, on a clear day, you can spot the famous ruins of the castle in Czersk and other historic sites in the area.
