Everybody knows the Jura – but mostly from the ground. Hiking trails, the Eagles’ Nest castles, limestone outcrops, forested valleys. It’s impressive, and popular for good reason. But from a balloon basket, it’s a completely different place.
Hills, valleys and ruined castles all at once, in a single view, at full scale. No photo and no viewpoint comes even close. White limestone rocks contrast with dark forests, the fields between the valleys form a patchwork of shapes and colours, and the view changes with every kilometre. The region is exceptionally varied – which is exactly why no two flights here are the same. On a clear day, you can pick out the Eagles’ Nest castles one by one, emerging from the sea of green below – something you simply can’t experience from the ground. Flights launch from carefully chosen sites, and the region’s gentle topography makes for easy, comfortable flying.
